Photojournalism is taking photos of events, and using the photos to tell the story.

Between 1975 and 2000, over 170 thousand people were killed by floods. Flooding kills people in every region of the world. The count of flood deaths is highest in South America, Southern Asia and Eastern Asia. Central Africa, Japan and Western Europe. Floods account for 15% of all deaths related to natural disasters, famines for 42%. From 1973 to 1997, Approximately 66 million people suffered flood damage.
